Come to the candidate forum on Tuesday, April 2, at 7 PM, hosted by the Democratic Party of Tippecanoe County. The forum will take place at the VFW Hall at 2660 Duncan Road in Lafayette, and everyone is welcome to attend. You will have a chance to hear the candidates’ views on the issues that matter to you.

Electronics Recycling: Tippecanoe County residents may bring in electric and electronic devices such as TVs, computers, laptops, vacuum cleaners, printers, etc. for recycling at no charge. They will NOT accept items with refrigerant such as AC units, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, or freezers. They will NOT accept large appliances such as washing machines or stoves.

Three of the four candidates looking to challenge Rep. Jim Baird for the 4th District seat in the U.S. House are expected to participate in a forum sponsored by the group Stop the Water Steal. According to the group, Charles Bookwalter, who is one of two Republicans challenging Baird in the May 7 primary, and Democrats Rimpi Girn and Derrick Holder have agreed to attend. David Sanders, a founder of Stop the Water Steal, said Baird and Republican John Piper have not committed to the event.
